On Workshops
The first couple of times I took one of Coach Todd‘s workshops, I approached the experience with some skepticism. I knew I would be asked to leave my comfort zone somewhat, but that was not the source of my skepticism – after all, how else do you learn? I wondered whether the workshop would be a good investment of time and money, whether I would like and respect Todd, whether the folks I asked to take the workshop with me would see value in it, and whether the effects of the workshop would produce value that lasted more than a few days.
After I got a few of the workshops under my belt, I learned to trust the process and I began to look forward to them without reservation. The effects are highly beneficial, long–lasting, and continue to this day – both for me as an individual and for our organization. I repeated the workshops with different groups of employees because I wanted to get to know them better, but mostly because I kept growing and learning and developing and evolving. Breakthroughs were achieved, and maintained. I have never done anything quite like it. Almost anyone who is willing to grow will do so in a Todd workshop. The benefits to the organization will be measurable.
On Coaching
Coach Todd is great on his feet at a workshop, but shines perhaps even more as a coach one–on-one or with a pair of employees that need to work in sync together. This works both in person and also on the telephone. I think the heart of it is that he has trained himself over the years to be a fantastic listener. (He will train you to be one also). Combining empathy, his understanding of people and their motivations, and his experience bringing teams to higher levels of performance (one person at a time if need be), he is very effective. Results come quickly, and changes are long-lasting.
